Signing up for day trips from Madrid through the suburbs of the Spanish capital is an excellent option for making the most of your holiday in the city. We offer you the possibility to go on our trips, which include guided tours to places near the capital, treasures like Toledo, Aranjuez, Avila, Segovia, El Escorial or the Valley of the Fallen. All of these destinations are quite interesting. Find out for yourself!
Get the prices of each one of these guided tours, which are always done in comfortable buses for short journeys on the road. We will clearly show you the schedule of each of our itineraries and of the places to which we’ll have to take the bus. From there, we will enjoy a day discovering the charms of Madrid’s suburbs, thanks to the presence of our guide, who will accompany you both at the destination of each trip and on the journey there.
Why should you embark on any of our trips to the outskirts of Madrid? It’s very simple: there’s much to see and our tours will definitely surprise you.
All of our trips from Madrid take place during one day. Throughout the day, sufficient time is available to tour places quite different from the capital, like Avila or Segovia. The first is famous for its long medieval walls and the Santa Teresa de Jesus. And the second is world-famous for its Roman aqueduct and the spectacular Alcazar.
Another interesting destination for a trip from Madrid is the city of Toledo. This city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it’s worth going on the peaceful guided tour that we offer you through its streets and to its monuments. It’s the best way to discover the City of Three Cultures.
The attractive places to see on a day trip from Madrid don’t stop there. It’s also possible to go to two quite distinct places that embody the far-off and more recent histories of Spain. Trips and guided tours to Monastery of San Lorenzo del Escorial and to the Valley of the Fallen are also available.
And equally interesting is to go on a trip to Aranjuez in order to see the palaces, museum and gardens in the beautiful Comunidad de Madrid, located very close to the capital and thus easy to go to on a day trip from Madrid.
That’s to say, we offer various destinations for these trips, which always include a guided tour to the most attractive and unforgettable places to see during your holiday in Madrid.
Tour Reviews
Quite comfortable bus, brilliant restaurant in Segovia and very beautiful places. The downside is that there’s very little time to stop and appreciate everything in detail, especially the aqueduct and the unvisited cathedral.
Avila and Segovia are to be visited time and time again. I will never tire of walking through their streets and I have already thought about returning with my parents through this company.
History and art. Between both cities, there are at least 4 essential monuments to see in Spain, as well as many other interesting but not so famous ones.
Spectacular places. The Alcázar, the Cathedral and the aqueduct of Segovia along with the walls of Avila are impressive, worth seeing if you’re in Madrid
I loved the tour with this agency. The guide was very well prepared but sometimes gave the same explanations in English and Spanish, which took some time.
Friendly and very efficient guide. Lovely places, including Aranjuez, which was much more impressive than the Royal Palace in Madrid for sure.
Toledo, a world heritage site, is a beast. You’ll get lost in old medieval streets and I won’t even tell you how amazing its huge cathedral is. I loved it.
Very good guide although I don’t remember his name. This tour was a great choice.
Toledo is three cultures mixed into one city. Everything is gorgeous. Charming guide and comfortable bus for the hours there and back.
Very comfortable bus, which is important on this tour due to how many kilometres we covered. Very high quality for the price.
Well organized, it was on time, although it wouldve been nice to leave a little earlier and have a bit more free time to visit the towns on our own.
A pleasant tour. We saw Segovia and Ávilas highlights. Although I wouldnt recommend it for people who cant walk long distances or who have small children.
I went by myself, and it wouldnt have been the same if I hadnt gone on a tour. The guide gave us tons of information on the history of Avila and Segovia, the latter was my favorite.
The tour was very good. I liked Segovia more than Avila, but both places had great monuments and highlights. It was definitely worth it!!
Awesome. The guides explanations were very pleasant. We saw spectacular monuments in both cities.
Good organization and beautiful tour. In a single afternoon we were able to see the city and it’s most emblematic places. The guide gave us precise information and facts to help us understand and appreciate how the old Spanish capital was in the fifteenth century.
Good tour. We’re an older couple and although we knew that some streets were very steep we had no problems touring the city and enjoying Toledo’s history and monuments.
A charming city. Thanks to the guide we were able to discover Toledo as it was when it was the capital of the kingdom in the 16th century. Fantastic.
Worth it. This city is pure history. The most interesting sites were the cathedral and the synagogue.
A great way to see Toledo. The bus is comfortable, the tour around the city is very complete and the guide’s information was very interesting.
It gave my wife and I time to tour part of Madrid in the morning, eat lunch and then go on this tour in the afternoon. The evening is lovely in Aranjuez.
A place with a lot of history. The guide’s explanations were a great added value to the visit, and thanks to them we were able to appreciate the importance of the rooms and halls that we visited even more.
Better than I expected. The Aranjuez Palace is truly very interesting, it’s worth the visit to get to know this historical architecture jewel of Spain.
It doesn’t include any food so it’s good that we ate lunch just before leaving Madrid. We had a marvellous time in the city of Aranjuez and its Palaces.
Completely disorganized. We had already left Madrid and they called the guide to go back and collect those who were left behind. An hour’s delay that meant we didn’t have time to do part of the tour. Horrible.
Toledo is, in a word, majestic
Good visit. The tour was very good but I think we could’ve used the time we spent in the damascening workshop to go into the cathedral.
This was my second visit and this time I brought my mother. Toledo is a gorgeous city in every way and I love it because you can walk easily through its streets.
Our guide was great and Toledo is a true gem of a city. Next time we’ll stay there during our holiday.
The good quality offered via the advertisement and information shown by Julia through Shortplans was as advertised.
We loved it. Being able to visit both cities in a single day was amazing.
100% recommended. The history, the monuments, the tour, the guide, everything was awesome.
Good tour. We were able to visit and see both cities’ main attractions in a single day. Good organization.
Fantastic monuments. The Alcazar, the cathedrals, the aqueduct, the palaces, everything was spectacular.
Awesome. Visiting both cities in a single day was wonderful and the guide was great.
Lovely tour. There were tons of very interesting places that were worth the visit, both in Salamanca and Avila: the walls, cathedrals, streets, nobility palaces, etc.
The best of Salamanca and Avila. We were able to see the most interesting places of these two cities in this one-day tour: the wall, the cathedrals, the palaces and the impressive Salamanca Main Plaza, which I believe, along with Plaza de España in Seville, are the two most beautiful in Spain.
Good. The overall tour was very good, but I think the guide could’ve shown us more things in Avila.
Worth it. The information provided by the guide Estefania was very good and the places we visited were incredible.
Gorgeous. Seeing both cities in a single day is worth it, visiting the old town of Salamanca and Avila’s wall and cathedral.
Fantastic morning for history and culture lovers. 100% recommended.
The tour in general is wonderful but I was not happy to have to wait all the time for the explanations to be translated into one or two or more languages.
The visit to the Valley was very short and we returned to Madrid a half hour earlier than I thought.
Surprising trip, the best I’ve done in Madrid by far.
Mandatory tour. An essential visit to two of the most historical and beautiful monuments in the history of Spain.
